Handcrafted from fine Caltagirone ceramic and decorated using traditional techniques, these 20 cm Moor’s Heads are embellished with fruits, lemons, and pomegranates applied by hand to the sides. A symbol of Sicilian tradition, they combine decorative appeal with practicality: they can be used as toothbrush holders, utensil crocks, or breadstick holders. Their history tells of a young Sicilian woman’s love for a man who came from distant lands. Upon discovering that he was already married, she, so as not to let him leave and to keep him with her forever, turned his head into a vase. Each head is handcrafted, so it will always be unique in shape and colour.
As these are handcrafted products, even the smallest imperfection is part of the manufacturing process and is a sign of uniqueness and originality.
