Bottega Sicula Ceramiche Siciliane
The Bummolo or Bummulu del Malandrino is a typical Sicilian object. It is a real closed jug, in which drinks are poured inside through the hole underneath it, so to fill it you have to turn it upside down and once brought to a vertical position the bummulo will not let the liquid poured inside come out.
It was used in ancient times by farmers to transport water or wine in the countryside without it overflowing and to keep it fresh all day, because clay is a conductor and therefore keeps liquids at the right temperature.
This object is part of a refined collection that proposes techniques and models of the ancient Sicilian tradition, it is made entirely by hand and is guaranteed for its origin and typicality.
Colors and shades may differ slightly from the photos. Since these are 100% handmade products, any imperfections are part of the manufacturing process and attest to the originality of the products.
